In many ways it serves as the foundation of our profession, a foundation whose strength is best guaranteed through supervisory practices which are committed to evidence based research, accountability to our clients, colleagues and agencies, and the ethical standards promulgated by the social work profession. This workshop will provide an overview of these best practices and specific, practical tools to enhanceour use of supervision as a supervisor and as a supervisee. Attention will also be given to record keeping, distance supervision, and risk management issues.
