We all know part of retaining good social workers is to provide them with meaningful professional development opportunities. New social workers are entering an exciting and important field that can sometimes be overwhelming. Connecting new social workers with others "in the same boat" can provide supports and resources necessary to be successful in their careers.
The NASW NH Chapter is pleased to offer a seminar series for new social workers. This seminar series will meet monthly for eight sessions over lunch time. Lynn Stanley, LICSW, Executive Director of NASW NH, will be facilitating this series with help from Melissa Grudinski, MSW, a Chapter Board Member and new social worker herself. We will bring in seasoned social workers to address topics such as getting the most out of your supervision, building your professional network, the role of NASW in their careers, and clinical licensing. The last four sessions will address topics identified by participants. A portion of the time each session will be devoted to participants' questions and concerns.
If you are a supervisor of a social worker with fewer than three years of experience, we ask you to recommend they attend. A referral from a supervisor is preferred, though not required.
The series is free to NASW Members and $220 for non-members.
Seminar registration is limited to a total of 15. Participants may be at the NASW NH office in Concord or attend virtually via Zoom.
