Code of Ethics
From its beginning, the profession of social work has stressed the importance of ethical conduct and responsibility to clients, colleagues, and society. In 1996, NASW's Delegate Assembly approved a new Code of Ethics for the profession. The 1999 Delegate Assembly reaffirmed a revised version of this code.
