The Children's Alliance of New Hampshire

A statewide research-based advocacy organization, The Children's Alliance of New Hampshire has worked for more than fourteen years to improve the health and well-being of children in New Hampshire. Its vision is to make New Hampshire one of the best places anywhere for a child to grow up, a place where every child is valued and no child is left behind. Its purpose is to move public policy to increase investments in children and families. Partners in the alliance include:

New Hampshire Healthy Families Campaign

New Hampshire Healthy Families Campaign is part of a regional campaign to raise the tobacco excise tax by 50 cents in each of the six New England states. The goal is to use the revenue to strengthen tobacco control and prevention initiatives, and programs that would expand access to health care. In 2002, NH legislators voted to reject the $0.50 increase. In 2003, NH's coalition will work on efforts to pass a $1.00 increase in the tobacco tax. New Hampshire for Health Care

New Hampshire for Healthcare is a coalition of groups and individuals united to make health care the central issue in the New Hampshire presidential primary. It is a broad-based coalition of individuals and organizations concerned about rising health costs and that support 1) Quality, affordable health care for all, without gaps in coverage or access; 2) Care that is cost efficient and medically effective; 3) A core package of health insurance benefits with choices comparable in quantity and scope to those available to federal employees; and 4) Financing that is fair and includes employers, individuals, and the federal, state and local governments. Organizational members include:

  • SEIU and the State Employees Association
