    The Diversity Awareness Committee is pleased to offer a three part seminar series on issues facing the transgender community.

    Seminar I

    Becoming a Gender Specialist: What Every Social Worker Needs to Know

    This workshop will introduce social workers to the specialty area of working with transgender and gender-nonconforming clients. It will cover the requirements of the specialty, the ideal qualifications, and how to become qualified.

    Presenter

    Anne Boedecker, PhD is a psychologist and gender specialist in private practice in Concord, NH. She has been working with transgender clients for many years. She has conducted workshops and trainings on gender diversity for mental health professionals, ministers, and others. She is the author of The Transgender Guidebook: Keys to a Successful Transition and The Transgender Workbook: Your Journey to Womanhood. She identifies as a GLBTQIA SOFFA on many levels.

    This program has been approved for one (1) Category I Continuing Education hours for licensure.

    NASW NH Authorization Number 3343.

    This seminar is free to any and all who wish to attend.

    There is limited space at the NASW NH office, but many spots available virtually via Zoom. You can either connect by video or just by conference call. If you are attending virtually via Zoom, you will receive the link/call in number several days before the seminar. Please look for it in your email. If you have any technical assistance needs, please let us know.

    If you are looking to receive CEUs, you must attend via video or in person (not conference call).

    If you are not an NASW member, and would like CEUs, there is a $25 fee.

    NASW Members receive the CEU for free.
